How to set beauty goals in 2021

2021 is here, let's make it count!

2020 was a rough year for many of us. If you want to take care of yourself a little more this year or if you finally decided that it's time you learn how to look great without much effort, this article is for you.

Setting a goal is easy, planning for it is easy, executing it consistently is the tricky part, which is why you need this simple step guidance to make sure you get where you want to get.

Step 1: Set Smart Goals

Smart Goals is a framework used by life coaches all over the world. It stands for: Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Timely.

  • Specific: Well defined, clear, and unambiguous
  • Measurable: With specific criteria that measure your progress toward the accomplishment of the goal
  • Achievable: Attainable and not impossible to achieve
  • Realistic: Within reach, realistic, and relevant to your life purpose
  • Timely: With a clearly defined timeline, including a starting date and a deadline. The purpose is to create urgency as well as excitement.

So do this little analysis and adapt your goals to the model. Give it a good try, consistently for a month or two. You will be surprised how results can be achieved with a small daily effort for a couple of months.

Step 2: Consistency

We know from psychologists that it takes about 60 to 90 days to form a new habit. We also know from research that it is easier to replace a bad habit for a good one than to just start off a new habit.

With this information we can set timely goals for consistency. To make sure we are better looking, inside out, for summer 2021!

How to do it.

Use this information to break down your goal into small actions that you must do on a regular basis. For example, to keep nice looking nails, you need to spend 30 minutes per week using the right tools for nails and cuticles. To look fit in the summer you need to hit a workout 4-5 times per week. What small chunks does your goal have? Break it down!

Step 3: Quality

No matter how consistent you are, if your work is sloppy, it doesn't cut it. Working on small chunks that will make up your goal in a small amount of time is effective only if you push yourself to excellence. For example, nail care takes 30 minutes per week. Make sure it's 30 minutes of high quality work on yourself! Focused, happy and exciting work! The same goes for having a fit body. Hitting a workout means going 80-90% of your ability. Push yourself to excellence for 60 to 90 days.

Step 4: Have fun with it

You goals are supposed to make you better. But it shouldn't be at the expense of your well being. Getting better is different for everyone and it means you still get to be excited, happy and joyful. The truth is that it takes effort, but that can be translated in good vibes in your mind, as long as you choose to!

Summary

So the recipe is simple. Set smart goals, break them down to small parts and work on them consistently, with great effort while having some fun along the way!

What goals will you set?
